I often do workouts with clients or just by myself at parks and playgrounds and I have observed a strange phenomenon, at least it is to me. I see moms and dads come to the playground with their kids, ho are excited to be there and are running around having a great time. However the vast majority of parents just sit down and watch their kids having fun and getting some good exercise. I see so many moms sitting on their fat buts looking at their ‘smart phones” wasting their time on unsocial media, in my opinion of course. They could be having some fun and getting some exercise with their kids.
Why do so many people as they get older lose their joy of playing and moving their bodies?
This reminds me of one of my favorite saying: Do we stop playing because we get old or do we get old because we stop playing? I think you know my answer.
It also reminds me of my friend who is my age and has a web site with the name never leave the playground. He is always going out to play everyday, making up games and he is very energetic, youthful and full of fun.
Why do we allow ourselves to be conditioned into becoming so serious and stressed out with life, that we lose our child like joy of moving our bodies and always looking to have fun.
Life is not supposed to a struggle
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Yes we have many challenges, but they are just our learning experiences and are also to be enjoyed. Struggling is a choice. Whenever you have a challenge, think about it as a blessing to help you move forward in life.
